Polypropylene bags are more accurately referred to as “woven” polypropylene (PP) bags. Manufacturing the woven fabric used to make PP bags includes:
Melting the raw polypropylene pellets.
Extruding the melted PP pellets into flat thin sheets.
Cutting the extruded PP sheets into thin tapes.
Rolling the long PP tapes onto bobbins.
Weaving the PP fabric from the bobbins loaded on the circular or flat weaving loom.
Weaving is a method by many threads or tapes woven in two directions (warp and weft), to form a fabric for plastic industry needs.
